This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Middle school science can and should be so much more engaging than just worksheets and tests! After just finishing my first year teaching, I quickly learned that students thrive when they are given tools to explicitly learn organization, express creativity, and take ownership and accountability of their own learning. Interactive science notebooks help students keep notes in a meaningful way, create foldables, study guides, doodle notes, and lab observations all together. To help these students, we need basic supplies such as scissors, glue, markers, tape, and pencils. Not all students bring a notebook or pencils to class, so having extras will help those who face economic hardships. I would love it if you would support this class project, so that students can learn more about the world they live in and build an amazing foundation for high school and beyond!
