This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a 7th grade teacher in an urban school district where the entire school qualifies for free breakfast and lunch. Two weeks into the school year, I can already tell that my 110 students are an enthusiastic bunch who are motivated and excited to learn. They are faced with challenges daily, but what impresses me is their energy, humor, dedication, growth and willingness to continue to learn.
Our school is made up of low-income families as well as students with English as a second language.
My Project
Students will be able to learn how to organize their work, thoughts and ideas throughout the school year. Providing them with this specific type of notebook will help them be successful not only in my class but hopefully in their future.
I'm requesting your help to alleviate the financial cost of a quality notebook and ensure that no student is unable to participate due to their family not being able to afford one.
My students will use these notebooks to record important information that will support instruction and move students towards achieving success.
