Interactive Math Notebooks

Help me give my students the necessary materials for interactive math notebooks (composition books). We use these all year long to journal our math thinking and document our problem solving skills.

My Project

Interactive math notebooks are a valuable tool for 4th and 5th graders because they engage students in the learning process and create a personalized study resource. By combining notes, drawings, and activities, these notebooks help students visualize math concepts and make connections between different ideas.

This hands-on approach caters to different learning styles and keeps students actively involved, fostering a deeper understanding of math.

Additionally, the notebooks become a record of their learning journey, allowing students to refer back to key concepts and track their progress over time.

Keeping class sets of the needed materials saves class time and ensures that my classroom is equitable. I pull out students for intervention, so I have to buy these materials for my students each year. Supplies brought from home are used in their general math classes.
