My Students

My class of six and seven year-olds come to school to have a safe and inviting environment where they know they will be loved. Because of the students' socioeconomic status, they don't always have the opportunity to use engaging tools that increases their motivation to learn. We are a Title I school. I want to bring technology with driven and engaging ways to learn in the classroom to make learning fun and exciting each and every day.

I want my students to learn in an environment that they feel most comfortable.

My goal of teaching is to find tools and ways to increase that love of learning and for my students to become lifelong learners.

My Project

I am requesting an Education Insights Wireless Eggspert system to turn our learning into a engaging game of friendly competition. This Eggspert system allows students to compete to answer question correctly by buzzing in first and earning points for their team.

This will allow students to learn without even knowing they are learning.

I am also requesting a Magnetic Time Tracker to keep students accountable for their learning time. This Timer will be displayed on the board and be set with a given time to complete an assignment. The color will change as time gets closer to ending. This will be a visual reminder for students to make sure they are focused and using their learning time wisely instead of causing distractions for themselves and other students.

Both of these materials will help create smoother transitions and learning experiences for my students this year and many years to come.
