My Students
I teach in a southwest suburban school about 40 minutes outside Chicago. Over just the past 4 years, our percentage of low-income students has risen 12%. Each year we are seeing an increased number of students coming to school without the supplies they need to succeed.
Our school is growing with new learners each and every year.
We are seeing more and more students of varying ability levels enter our school doors. It is our job as educators to make sure that we have the very best instructional materials possible so that each and every lesson helps our students grow and learn!
My Project
Students love new technology! If I bring in laptops or introduce a new online activity that I've found, the students are instantly engaged. Our building purchased SMART Boards many years ago. The kids loved them, and the teachers used them each and every day!
Oh but times are "a-changing"!
These huge, bulky systems no longer work properly. They completely cover our whiteboards so simple dry erase markers can't be used. When technological problems arise, instructional time is lost while we try to work out the bugs. Thank goodness there is now something better.
The IW2 Wireless Interactive Whiteboard System turns a simple dry erase board into a SMART board with just a click! I could wirelessly and easily turn my basic white dry erase board into a touchscreen within seconds. No cords, no fuss, no instructional time wasted.
Our math, science, and social studies curriculums come with awesome online components. Please help us utilize these!
