My Students

My students walk into our classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. I ask them, "Who is the best kindergarten class in the whole world?" and they reply, "We are!" I want them to know I believe in them and they can achieve anything they set their minds and hearts too.

It is my goal to provide them with hands on manipulatives in order to improve student learning.

My Project

The introduction of an interactive whiteboard will provide my students the hands-on experiences they crave in all areas of the curriculum through a fun, multi-sensory approach. This piece of technology can be used during whole group instruction, in small group sessions, and as a resource during learning centers. It will allow the class to zoom in on shared texts, explore virtual field trips, and maximize student engagement.

An interactive whiteboard will also allow my students to become self-directed learners.

They will discover how to access, analyze, interpret, and share information through the use of hands-on interactive manipulation. An interactive smart board would also allow me to enhance my teaching methods in all areas of the curriculum while catering to the diverse learning styles of my young students.
