Interactive iPad Classroom

Help me give my students the chance to use an iPad mini as an interactive classroom resource! My plan is to use an iPad to help them do science projects, take AR tests quicker and easier plus more!

My Students

My students are amazing 2nd graders who are eager to learn. Our school district is a Title I school district. While the students are incredibly motivated, there are some resources that could greatly improve their learning experience. All children need inspiration from loving and enthusiastic teachers.

These students deserve a fun learning environment and our goal is to ensure their education never suffers due to lack of resources.

These kids deserve the best education possible. My students have amazing potential, and if we cultivate their talents, they will be unstoppable scholars. All they need is for more people to believe in them.

My Project

Many students in today's classrooms are very technology savvy. Trying to find ways in which they are most interested in learning usually has a lot to do with either hands-on activities or activities that allow for technology use--my idea is to combine them both.

An iPad would allow for hands-on use of technology to record scientific data, take pictures and even use science applications to complete fun projects!

There are some online applications that allow you to learn to dissect things without needing the actual organism in your classroom. For example, we will be able to observe metamorphosis by either online application OR by taking our interactive iPad outdoors and taking pictures of the process to share to our online classroom (Class Dojo).

We actively use Class Dojo, and I would love the opportunity for my students to see their points and do fun projects and submit them to Class Dojo.

Many of my students are kinesthetic learners, and allowing them to use an iPad rather than a computer is much more hands on and also more developmentally appropriate. I would love to allow them this opportunity!
