This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach Chemistry to high school students who are sometimes intimidated by how abstract some concepts can be. These large, stunning, interactive periodic table of elements charts will appeal to my kinesthetic, auditory, and visual learners. Each full-color element block includes element name, symbol, atomic number, atomic mass, and an image of that element in use. Color coding orients students to element type and naturally occurring state of matter. A free digital app provides origins, facts, stats, and various uses of all the elements; interactive 3-D models; and a compound builder feature. It will make Chemistry come alive for my students.
