Interactive Chemistry and Amazing Chemistry Books and Games

My Students

My students are learning how to become mathematicians and scientists. They enjoy discovery learning and actively participate in Socratic discussions in math and science. They are hesitant in math but are becoming more confident as this school year progresses. They love discussing real-world applications to what they are learning in math.

There are so many questions my students have in relation to science.

They are very inquisitive and love finding the answers to their questions. This is especially true of my 6th graders. My 6th graders are studying space and my 7th graders are studying chemistry. They love hands-on activities, STEM activities, and science experiments.

My Project

Making chemistry interesting for my students is hard to do, especially as a first-year chemistry teacher. There are no resources in the classroom for chemistry beyond what books I can check out in the library.

Making chemistry fun and hands-on with amazing resources for my students to use would make all of the difference in their learning and excite them about chemistry.

Learning through games, models, and books with great illustrations would help my students understand the concepts covered in chemistry along with allowing them to have fun. I want them to wonder about and experience chemistry, which is hard to do through lecture and reading through articles found on the internet.

My students love playing games and the chosen games would give them a deep understanding of atoms, molecules, elements, and the periodic table. Through just starting to teach my students chemistry, I already see a huge need for items such as these to make learning fun for them.
