My Project

I am a speech-language pathologist in a Title I school. I work with children who have speech and language delays. Many of my students have other disabilities, including learning and physical.

Teaching language skills through literacy-based lessons allows me to work on IEP goals while supporting the students' academic skills.

These books are written to be interactive, which makes them fun and engaging for the children. I plan to create language-based, literacy activities for my students to address IEP goals such as answering comprehension questions, retelling stories, and describing pictures. I can also get them up and moving while learning!
