Mrs. Tarpley from Fort Worth TX is requesting a class trip through DonorsChoose, the #1 classroom funding site for teachers.

Interactive Aquarium Field Trip

My students need to go out and experience the world. Going on a field trip to an interactive aquarium would give these children experiences they would not otherwise get to experience.

My Students

My students are our future. My school is a Title I school. My students come from a very poverty driven community were 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. I know my students want to be successful but are afraid they do not have the tools to do so. I want my students to know they can and will be successful and I want to give them the tools to do just that. I want to open more doors for them by including technology into their learning. And by giving them every chance to succeed as possible.

My Project

My students will learn about animals they've only heard about. They will get to interact with birds, fish, turtles, lizards, etc... Students will learn about the animal including the name of the animal, where they live, what they eat and other exciting information. This field trip would give my students a once in a lifetime experience that they would otherwise not be able to afford. Student will be able to apply what they learned in the classroom. Students will use this knowledge during science time and be able to relate to the animals that we read about during our reading time!
