This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My English Learners are highly motivated diverse children. They come from alll different backgrounds and cultures and create a beautiful supportive learning environment for all of us. They range in ages from 5 to 15 and come to me with a variety of academic and social emotional experiences.
I am fortunate to work with such a diverse , resiliant and motivated group of learners.
I am impressed that despite the complexities of learning a new language and adjusting to a new culture they are so eager to learn and share with me their culture and love of learning.
My Project
Help our ELL students transition from paper to digital learning! Ell students learn better through visuals and real life examples. The purchase of the document camera along with the color printer will enable me to provide those much needed learning experiences via our digital learning platform.
Your donation will allow me to display manipulatives, books and student texts in a way that can be interactive for my students.
My students will be able to see me manipulate objects and write in "real time" to explain difficult tasks and concepts. They will also have the opportunity to use the technology when we return to school.
