Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students attend a diverse high school that values self-efficacy, and collaboration. They are exceptionally hard-working students who have experienced trauma throughout their life.

Many of my students are striving to become the first person in their family to attend post-secondary education.

They have the drive to change the world, and refuse to let anything stop them.

We often lack appropriate resources, to help them become collaborative scientists. My students need access to programs that allow us to integrate technology in an engaging, and meaningful way. With your help, we can acquire the tools to help them be successful in their post-secondary experience.

My Project

Nearpod will allow my students to engage with scientific ideas by taking VR field trips. It will also allow me as a teacher to informally assess students through online polls, drawings, short-answer questions, and quizzes.

By donating to our project, you will allow my students to have an equitable education by providing them with technology to engage with.

My students are eager to learn, and eager to thrive after their post-secondary education. However, many of my students to not have the opportunity to see the world, and leave their city like their peers do across the country. A Nearpod subscription will allow our classroom to be more equitable and create engaging scientific experiences for my students.
