Integrating Technology Into the Classroom to Inspire More Confident Learners

My students need 2 HP - 2-in-1 11.6'Touch-Screen Laptops so that I can help them become more engaged in our Math and Science curriculum and help those students that are more timid become more confident.

My Students

In my school, 75% of our students receive free or reduced lunch. Many of our students come from homes with divorced parents or live with grandparents. Despite these challenges, my students are extremely enthusiastic about school. Our school provides a wonderfully positive and home-like vibe. Every staff member is invested in the well-being of the students who attend our school. They love discussions and celebrating milestones for each other. I have a Wall of Fame where students can celebrate their personal achievements. We are always looking for new ways to increase and enhance our learning.

My Project

Having these HP Touch-Screen Laptops for our class will allow my students to be able to have more engagement in their learning.

Through the use of these laptops, I will be able to integrate more technology into my classroom lessons and enhance my students' math abilities.

One way I plan on using these touchscreen Chromebooks, is by instead of students always having to come up to the Smart Board/White board to show their work or contribute to an activity, I will be able to bring the projector to them. This will be great for those students who feel less confident up in front of a group.

Another way I plan on using the Chromebooks is during our math centers. Students will use these devices to access Google Classroom, complete Boom Learning task cards, and connect with subject based applications.
