This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are a diverse population of inner city kids from kindergarten through eighth grade who are excited to learn new things and simply have fun!
Our school is committed to providing the best education possible for these students to excel at their highest level and succeed beyond high school into college.
Our goal here is that all roads lead to college! I love that my students enjoy physical education and are always looking for new ways to be active.
My Project
These scooters will be a great addition to our physical education classes to do several integrated activities, cooperative activities, fitness, and activities involving special needs students. Many of my students have never seen these types of scooters before so it would be great to introduce them to this equipment as another form of physical activity.
I want to teach my students the fundamental aspects of forces and motion as a part building their foundation on movement concepts.
I think this lesson will be both stimulating and fun for them to get a hands on experience of how forces and motion work. I can also use these scooters for other integrated lessons throughout the school year.
