This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Please help give my students the art tools needed to integrate more art into our science curriculum. With the multiple air-dry clays students will be able to create a variety of sculptures such as earth layers models, coral reefs, and tide pool sculptures. The silicone mats will help ensure the clay stays off of the table and will make cleaning up much easier. The clay rollers and tools will help students create smooth surfaces and add precision to their clay sculptures. The sculpting tool set will help students be able to interact with the clay in an easier way, allowing them to add small precision details to their models. Once students have created their clay models, they will use the sandpaper to smooth out their designs and paint them with the acrylic paints and brushes. Finally, they will use the glaze for a shiny finish.

I want these art supplies and tools because they will help me create engaging, hands-on learning experiences for my students while also keeping my classroom organized and efficient.

The oil pastels will be used for additional art projects to create vibrant, detailed diagrams or models of concepts like ecosystems, wildfires or cross-sections of Earth, enhancing their understanding through visual representation. The variety of plastic bins will be used to keep all of these art materials in the classroom for students to have easy access to them. Additionally, the cleaning wipes will ensure students can keep their tables cleaned when working with these art materials.

These materials will not only help students explore their artistic side but also teach them valuable skills in organization, creativity, and craftsmanship.
