My Students

My students with autism are amazing. I am a special day teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district. My students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am trying to provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.

My students are excited to explore and learn to expand their capacity for critical thinking.

They take pride in their efforts and are willing to challenge their minds for the sake of learning.

My Project

Integrating Art and Language Arts with the use of Dr Seuss books and art supplies will help my students with Special Needs explore their creative ability to learn and create while having fun while learning.

By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase my students’ reading skills, you will also help with their fine motor skills with the art supplies and ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.

With this project, my students will be able to have books they want to read and art supplies to help them create Dr. Seuss-like characters. They will be able to use the books and art supplies during our whole group and small group time.
