This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are fortunate enough to have a 3D printer and a budding Makerspace at our high school. We are starting to print some student designs and create all kinds of wonderful things.

Unfortunately, we are missing the tools to take projects from rough 3D design to the level of creating art with our computer science skills.

The beauty of integrated STEAM learning is that it allows students to learn skills from one discipline while pursuing goals from another and vice versa. We hope that these tools, such as a Dremel, 3D paint coating, and lab trays, will help add more art to our STEAM program.

Specifically, we need different methods that can lead to higher quality 3D prints of our digital designs. Rotary tools, cutting tools, epoxy coating, and surfaces where we can use these without damage to school property are essential!
