My Project

Music is an essential element in every educational setting. Music has the ability to inspire a child's thought processes, personal creativity, and social skills. The engagement and connections that can be made through music are unmatched and endless. These instruments are used with all of my students from kindergarten to 6th grade.

Music promotes community, creativity, family, SEL skills, exploration, and problem-solving.

My classroom music provides an environment that encourages these connections. Students are encouraged to make connections between music, academics, teamwork, SEL skills, and the Arts.

Classroom music at my school is a place where children are given the freedom to express themselves in ways not seen elsewhere. Music classes at RES foster cooperation among peers as if they were in an ensemble, foster respect for themselves as they begin to explore their own ideas, and provide a warm environment that is creatively limitless. Music classes prepare students for meaningful connections in the community, performance opportunities, and audience participation.
