My students need flutes. Some have been without one since the start of class, 9/2011. We have been sharing flutes among students and that is not enough.

My Students
Please provide us with the needed flutes so that we may practice at home. Having an instrument to practice everyday is the basic necessity for any musician new or veteran.
My students are of low income families and it is difficult for them to purchase books and instruments.
My district do not have enough budget to purchase instruments for all interested students. A good number of them are still attending classes in hope of receiving a flute.
My Project
We need a total of 4 flutes so that all the students in my flute class can take one home everyday to practice. So far some of them can only practice once a week when in class and sharing another student's flute. Even with such difficulty, a good number of students have stuck with the program in hope of new flutes arriving.
My students are very excited to perform for their parents and peers in the upcoming spring program, but some are behind due to the lack of instruments. I just want to do whatever I can do to help them achieve a good performance.
My project is very important to my students.
I want to be able to provide them with needed materials, instruments. To look into my students' eyes and inform them that I simply cannot provide for them what they need is tearing me apart. I applaud the students - they have stuck with the program and borrowed instruments to practice while in our class. I would really like to reward their persistence with what they seek and need, instruments to practice and perform.
