My Students
Our band students are extremely diverse. Many speak Russian, Spanish, Chinese, Urdu, or Uzbek and home. However, despite their differences, they all come together to make music. The great thing about our band program is that you don't need to be an academic all-star to be successful. We all communicate through the language of music, so everyone has the same fair shot to be outstanding.
Our students are passionate and take music very seriously.
We have won many awards for outstanding performances and have packed concerts at school. Our students' parents value their music education.
My Project
COVID-19 forced us to abandon our instruments and music for a whole year. Now we are back and excited to play! Our students have been doing an AMAZING job, many learning instruments for the first time.
A swab is an important piece of equipment that students use after they play.
We need to keep our instruments free of moisture. This helps them last longer. Students are excited to properly care for their instruments. We don't have enough swabs for every instrument and COVID safety rules require students cannot share. Getting more swabs helps our students keep their instruments in tip-top shape.
