I teach English as a Second Language and Special Education to Grade 5. Our English Learners speak languages such as Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Portuguese, Haitian Creole, and Arabic. Their English Language Development (ELD) levels ranges from one through five. I work with students in the fifth grade SEI classroom, general education classroom, and inclusion classroom.
As a resource teacher, I work with students with disabilities.
I provide specialized services in reading, writing, and math. I need to differentiate my instruction in order to meet students' accommodations and modifications.
I am asking for a presentation caddy and document camera. My learners on IEPs and ELs benefit from the use of instructional technology. These materials will help meet and reach all learning needs and styles.
My students will be able to display their work to others using the presentation caddy and document camera.The document camera will support whole class instruction as well.
The Chromebook will also help support students' reading and writing using programs such as Lexia and Google Read & Write. This will help positively impact student learning specifically decoding, encoding, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension in English. This will help meet students' IEP goals as well.
