My Project
Having updated technology in my classroom will allow me to better assist my special education students.
Special education students thrive on visuals and auditory learning.
Laptops can provide students with new ways to access learning materials. My students deserve nothing more than the opportunity to explore what a new laptop can provide. Virtual school trips, autism friendly apps and visuals, websites that assist in reading skills, and so much more!
Providing my self contained special education students with the opportunity to use an iPad will have positive impacts on their ability to interact with educational materials. iPads are touch screen friendly and allow students to have visuals that can help with communication.
Having updated technology in my classroom would better help me monitor student progress, allow for multiple students to enjoy technology at one time, and have access to unlimited resources online. Given the price of these electronic devices, it is difficult to be able to provide my students the opportunity to have iPads. However, with the generosity of our community and donors, learning can really transcend in my classroom.
