My Project
I work with Multilingual Learners at 2 Title 1 Elementary Schools in Virginia. I have amazing students at WHES and SESS. While my students come from various backgrounds, as English Learners, they all receive LIEP services, as they work on their language acquisition.
The following list of supplies will ensure that we are ready to learn this school year.
In addition, these materials will enable me to create engaging activities that will support their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in English. The primary notebooks will support Grades K-2 with writing prompts and illustrations. The fidget toys will serve as prizes and incentives for hard work and positive behavior. The sight word game is an engaging way to support beginning readers. Crayons, glue sticks, and highlighters will support students with their interactive notebooks. The dry erase boards and markers will serve as an important total participation strategy to check for student understanding. The picture story starters will help English Learners with vocabulary, oral and written language. Additionally, I included some bilingual books that will support multilingual learners and promote cultural awareness.
