This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
With over 30 years of playoff seasons, the W.T. White Baseball program has created a lasting legacy of excellence within the North Dallas community. Instead of lowering their expectations in the face of obstacles, these student athletes have proven themselves to be determined and dedicated to the sport and committed to preserving a winning tradition in the metroplex. The young men have competed at the highest level in the region despite lacking state of the art facilities found at other 6A programs in Texas.
Not only are the Longhorns building a strong, successful program, they have shown character, leadership, and heart by serving the community and neighborhood in North Dallas.
My Project
All of the materials selected for this project will provide support to the student athletes, as most of them are not able to afford the essentials when assisting the necessary practices and games.
In order to provide the best instruction and relevant competitive practice students will need to be exposed to repetitive quality pitching that can only be provided by a quality pitching machine.
The additional necessary items will be the essentials for our students athletes, as most of them can not afford cleats, and bats of their own.
In providing the necessities to our student athletes we free them from burden and allow them to thrive in their learning and understanding of baseball, to carry on the tradition of leadership, community, and teamwork.
