This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As my students read and take notes from their textbook at home, they see all of the web-tutorials available through the publishers, but that many cannot access.

My students are bright, young mathematicians, taking the hardest math class offered at our school (Calculus AB).

They want to do well on their AP tests so that they can be prepared for college. Many hope to study the sciences or engineering in school. I need to prepare them for the road ahead.

My Project

A laptop in my classroom would allow students to work on tutorials both during and outside of class time. A computer would allow them to use all of the resources available in our neighboring school district. It is my hope that with greater access to these tutorials and modules, that students will have yet another look at the content and will move towards mastery.

Having access to specially designed tutorials for AP Calculus will give my students a competitive edge when it come to the test in May.

It will also give them the college-ready skill of using resources available to them online to supplement their learning.
