My Project

Building the confidence of young women is extremely important. Over the first three weeks of school I have completely several SEL (Social Emotional Learning) activities with my students and learned quickly they need a safe space to reflect. While reflecting they are able to express themselves and open up about certain things they feel comfortable sharing with me. While I am their teacher, I was a young woman that sat in their seat praying for someone to help me understand my emotions.

This project will allow these young women to complete weekly journals, have inspirational words around them, and learn to speak and think positively through the use of Kraft Paper Notebooks and Inspirational cards.
