Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My first-grade students are curious, enthusiastic, and eager to explore the world around them. They love learning through hands-on experiences and thrive when given opportunities to engage in interactive, meaningful lessons. Their natural curiosity about the human body, technology, and physical sciences makes this project an exciting way to fuel their love for learning.

I am requesting hands-on science and health materials to enhance our learning experience.

Anatomy models, such as a heart, brain, and skeletal system, will give my students a tangible way to understand the human body and its functions. These models will allow my young learners to see and touch the different parts of the body, making abstract concepts come to life.

Additionally, I am requesting science coding materials to introduce my students to basic programming skills in a fun and engaging way. Early exposure to coding will build their problem-solving abilities and foster a love for STEM learning.

To support both science and reading, I am requesting magnetic wands, which will be used for hands-on science experiments involving magnetism and for engaging literacy activities that make phonics and word-building even more interactive.

By providing my students with these health and science resources, you will help create a classroom environment that fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and hands-on learning. These materials will allow my students to build a solid foundation in science and health while developing problem-solving and critical thinking skills essential for future success.

Your generosity will make a lasting impact on these young learners, giving them the tools they need to explore, discover, and grow. Thank you for helping us bring science to life!
