Inspiring Totes

Help me give my students tote bags that they can design themselves to carry their items between classes rather than constantly dropping & forgetting items.

My Project

Now that every student is carrying a laptop and water bottle to class, their hands are too full to carry pencils, markers, and other essential items. Students also need extra reminders about their strength and tenacity. These tote bags will allow students to do both by designing and creating their own personalized tote bags to carry their essential items to class while reminding them they are future changemakers.

Students will design and create their personalized inspirational tote bags using design software, a vinyl cutter, and a hot press in our makerspace lab.

They will find an inspirational quote to include in their designs that will remind them of their strength and purpose. These tote bags will be used to carry their belongings when they change classes so they are not constantly dropping and forgetting important items for each class. They will also be able to read the quote to motivate themselves when they feel down.
