Our school is seventy percent free or reduced-price lunch and filled with beautiful diversity. Meanwhile, our classroom is 80% free and reduced-price lunch. We have representatives from thirty-three different countries across the world.
We are a Title I school and we have close to five hundred students ranging from pre-k through fifth grade, all coming from mixed backgrounds.
As a school, we encourage Project Based Learning and maker-space activities for students to have unique learning experiences.
I teach a multi-age classroom that includes students in third, fourth, and fifth grade. Every day the three grade levels work together to collaborate and learn from each other.
My Project
I am asking for materials that will help my students to continue their passion for STEAM learning even while we are virtual. I am asking for an OSMO and STEAM read-alouds that will help inspire their creativity.
Students love STEAM projects and this is when I see higher level thinking, creativity, and more at it's best.
I am asking for books that will inspire students with ideas and be able to use items that they have from home to make this ideas into tangible items.
I am also asking for an OSMO because this is an activity that we can work together to problem solve even though we are not in the same building. This will help us to build our classroom community.
