Our kindergarten class at Brandywine Elementary is comprised of 19 eager young learners, each brimming with potential. As educators, we understand the critical importance of fostering a love for reading at a young age. With this grant proposal, we aim to ignite that passion by implementing an innovative project that combines the magic of children's books with the comfort of matching stuffed animals.
Our project revolves around the idea of using children's books and matching stuffed animals to incentivize reading and goal-reaching in our classroom.
By providing each student with a special bag containing a book, a matching stuffed animal, and perhaps a special activity related to the story, we hope to make reading a more interactive and engaging experience for our young learners.
Our primary goals for this project include improving literacy skills, fostering a love for reading, and encouraging parent involvement in their child's education. We aim to achieve these goals by creating a positive and motivating reading environment in our classroom and providing students with tangible rewards for reaching their reading goals.
