My Students
Most of our preschool student's families are low-income. The children are creative and hands-on and will benefit immensely from having some open-ended art materials at home during this time. It would be amazing to send our students interesting materials to inspire their creativity!
My Project
The majority of our students are low income and really need more opportunities to have access to quality art supplies in order to engage their creativity and learning. I hope to be able to distribute art kits to our preschool families for fun art-making at home during this difficult time. The students in our program are amazing artists that take the materials presented to them and turn them into awe-inspiring works. I am lucky to be our building's Atelierista and witness these incredible artists in action! I miss having the ability to provide interesting provocations for my students and I hope to continue to do this for them while we are at home. Art provides a wonderful outlet for stress and anxiety and allows children to use their imaginations.
