This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

When my students saw the chance for us to acquire Lego sets that connect with two of their favorite movies, The Lion King and Star Wars, they adamantly encouraged me to submit a proposal. My students love to build LEGO sets together and are very excited to work on Simbo and the Millenium Falcon.

These LEGO sets will make an important contribution to my students' opportunities to develop their problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Working on challenging puzzles like these helps students develop their abilities to focus on details and to develop their spatial awareness. Furthermore, these are fancy sets that they probably would not otherwise be able to access.

This project will build community, appeal to a variety of students and generate excitement at school.
