Over half of my students qualify for our free school lunch program. Many live in migrant apartment housing. Several of my students' families work in the fields or do farm work as their job.
All of my students are learning two languages, both Spanish and English.
They are being taught daily in both languages.
All of my students are eager to learn. Their parents want them to work hard in school and make a better life for themselves so that they do not have to follow in their footsteps and do farm work.
These materials will help engage and organize student supplies and inspire learning. The magnetic shelves and the teacher organizer will help keep supplies in order and lessons organizer as well as easy to find. The teaching easel will make concepts being taught during small group time visible for every student. The giant classroom timer will be excellent for timer tests and helpful for students who need a time frame for activities.
These supplies will not ONLY be helpful for myself and my students they will also help the student teacher that I am bringing on board and helping to train beginning this Spring who is coming from Western Washington University.
