My Students

Each day, my students walk through the door armed with the biggest smiles, the kindest hearts, the tightest hugs, and the most authentic passion for learning. Despite any challenges they may face outside of the four walls of my classroom, they come to school ready to learn and focus.

It is genuinely a gift to be the teacher/facilitator among this amazing group of second graders.

Each child brings such a unique set of life experiences to our classroom community. Because of this, it is my goal to create a safe space filled with kindness and inspiration that promotes exploration and learning. By balancing engagement with academic rigor, learning becomes both relevant and memorable for every child.

My Project

I’ve got 24 of the most wonderful students who all learn a completely different way. If you take a peek into my classroom on any given day, my students are sitting, standing, on the floor, in their desks, or walking around. They’ve all got one thing in common, though, they are tracking me...focused and ready to listen. I’d love to create a space where they are able to learn in the best possible space for themselves. Once we give students the independence, they take control of their own learning and find the confidence to use their voice to advocate for their own unique educational needs.
