My Students
Greetings from Green Bay, Wisconsin. (Go, Pack, go!) Thank you for taking the time to review this request for my classroom; my students are a beautiful mix of genuine, altruistic, and inquisitive individuals. This year, I have the privilege of teaching a variety of courses including Creative Writing, Literary Analysis, and Writing. Within these classes, I have students who range from 9th to 12th grade.
I am always in awe of my students and their imaginative creations!
They truly go above and beyond with their projects, and they regularly search for innovative ways to put their own twists on the activities we work with in class. They are the reason I look forward to going to work every day!
My Project
Students will use these materials in class to inspire divergent thinking! The building blocks will be used for creative building challenges as students work with their writing cohorts. The individual dry erase boards will be used for brainstorming sessions, formative assessment, and group collaboration. The metaphor dice will be used in daily writing activity and serve as a mentor for students to eventually create their own dice to use with their peers.
Now more than ever, it is imperative that students are willing to take creative risks.
This is the first year many students have actually returned to school full time since the beginning of COVID, and there is definitely a need to foster more collaborative hands on activities that encourage students to share their ideas and actively engage with others. These resources will spark a variety of discussions that will inspire our students! Thank you!
