My students need legos to inspire creative and critical thinking skills.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Seow's classroom raised $271

My Students
Our school serves students from K-5 in a low income neighborhood, where funds are limited not only in the school budget but also in our families' budgets. The majority of the students we serve are of African-American descent, with a growing population of those classified as special needs. They strive to be the best and work hard with limited supplies.
In our school we learn to be flexible and to work with our limited resources.
Our students deserve more and deserve the same opportunities as their peers throughout the nation.
My Project
This donation of Legos will be used in our after school program. The Legos will be used as part of a Lego Quest Challenge that we would like to join.
When building with Legos it will promote good Listening, Reflection, Self-Expression, and Critical-Thinking Skills.
This program is meant to happen at least once a week with our 2nd graders. Not only will it promote the above skills but will also help with some fine motor skills, communication, and promote sharing among the students.
The Lego Quest Challenge has students once a week complete a challenge for 51 weeks. They request a scenario such as Create a Car, Earth day, and then they would share what they have built and we would add in a writing section to describe what they have built.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
