My Students

Hello, my name is Ms. Keller, I teach Pre-K and Kindergarten students in a unique public Montessori school which recently opened in 2018. I marvel at my students' desire for knowledge. They devour learning like it’s cupcakes! They are in the beginning stages of reading and writing. Writing seems to be a calming, creative process for them. In fact, they would write uninterrupted for hours if allowed to.

My students are an inquisitive bunch.

They enjoy math, poetry, science, art and crafting. Often, they can be found crafting things for each other, creating a spirit of kindness and community among themselves. It’s amazing to see the good-will expressed between them.

My Project

Nothing inspires a path of investigation more than a circle-time discussion about the wonders of country living. Showing images of rolling hills, barns, bales of hay, and animal babies with their mamas, sparks the imagination and gives students a chance to wonder and explore. Who wouldn’t want to know about how horses are groomed or what a baby chick enjoys eating?

This project will help my students put their imaginations to work by supplying materials needed to set-up an imagined country farm in the classroom.

Please give my students an opportunity to enjoy sorting, counting, and exploring all the wonderful little farm animals and related materials. Thank you in advance for helping me bring the country to the city.
