This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My goal is to read these books and infuse some of the ideas presented into my lessons. I plan to incorporate historical information regarding great mathematicians as well as the origin of mathematical ideas, symbols, and conventions. I also plan to enrich my lessons by promoting numeracy. Lastly, I am planning on creating new opportunities for students to develop a deeper conceptual understanding.

This set of books will give me the opportunity to continue my professional growth.

I will be able to continue my learning journey on how to connect history, numeracy, disciplinary literacy, and practice and content standards.
