This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have been a teacher for fifteen years and half of those years I have taught kindergarten for very special reasons. For starters I love the sense of amazement students feel in kindergarten. So many things are new to them and their excitement is palpable. Secondly, you see tremendous academic, social, and emotional growth in kindergarten. It's very rewarding to see where my students are at the end of the year as compared to the beginning of the year. It is this eagerness, malleability, and undaunted willingness to learn that I find so inspiring.

My Project

Every child is an individual with unique strengths and needs and because of this my teaching needs to be customized and tailored to specific student needs. The requested resources will add to my repertoire of skills that I need to best meet the individual needs of each of my students. The books will help me deliver specific lessons in small groups. In addition because time is limited, the specific strategies that I will learn from these books will help me use the time during small group instruction more efficiently and effectively. Moreover, the skills covered in the books cover a broad range of learners.
