My Project
I am inspired to expand my knowledge and grow as an educator in order to make an impact in my community, school district, school and classroom. I am pursuing my Master of Education in Social Emotional Learning, Mindfulness and Yoga with Breathe for Change. I have been an Exceptional Student educator for 18 years and a certified yoga teacher for 7 years. I have presented at the Teachers In Action Conference the past two years, sharing Mindfulness for Educators. I have shared yoga and mindfulness in my classroom and a school-wide club for years.
My vision is to create a mindfulness movement within my school which can create a ripple effect within our community.
I want to create a difference in the lives of students and other educators by gaining a deeper understanding of trauma informed instruction, self-regulation strategies, mindfulness practices and strengthening my leadership skills. Breathe for Change's Master of Education program will provide me with the tools to make this possible. I am seeking tuition assistance so I can pursue my Master of Education degree and create a difference.
