My Project
The materials I am requesting will help my students in multiple ways. Recently, we have been using the visual arts as a way to process our strong emotions and develop ways to share coping strategies while in school, at home, or anywhere in life! My students are currently working on handmade books focusing on a specific strong emotion and then featuring strategies to cope. They are using watercolors and colored pencils to decorate their books, but they have been asking for paints as well as canvases to showcase their learning and creativity.
These materials will take their creativity to the next level and the fidget toys will help with processing their strong emotions and confronting them while in school.
Covid19 has been taking a toll on my students and I, and we have found visual arts to be a positive outlet for us to help process content during these hard times.
