My eager 2nd graders are like little sponges soaking up all the new things around them. They have a drive for questions and knowledge that keeps me busy and looking for new ideas and concepts to teach them.
Most of my students do not have any other educational opportunities outside of school, so they come to school very eager to learn.
They appreciate anything that I do for them. They are always eager and ready to dive into whatever we're learning.
My Project
Picture books are the best way to celebrate children's innate ability to imagine fantastic machines, invent new things and believe anything is possible!
I am hoping to make learning with reading and STEM more meaningful for my students with these inspirational stories.
Engaging stories such as Violet the Pilot will help inspire the mechanical genius in my students! They will also love the If I Built a Car and If I Built a House books to help get their imaginations roaring with ideas!
These stories will no doubt spark my students' interest in inventing and encourage a passion for STEM and hands on learning!
