My Students

Welcome to Long Beach, New York, the City by the Sea. LES is one of four elementary schools in our district. We are a diverse population of hundreds of students in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade. We also happen to be Hurricane Sandy survivors! We are proud of our students, who throughout the years have shown, perseverance, resilience and a true passion for learning despite the obstacles they have been faced with.

We nurture and empower a community of lifelong learners and embrace opportunities to cultivate curious, inquiring minds.

My Project

Our school embarked on a journey of creating our very own Maker Space, a place where students can design, collaborate, create, and innovate. This special space we are in the process of creating, empowers students to foster their imagination, explore, question and wonder. We began by reaching out to our faculty, staff, students, parents, and community who have generously donated various supplies. We would love to be able to organize the items effectively and efficiently, making them readily accessible so that students can dive in and have fun.
