Help me give my students a Cricut Explore Air 2 so they can learn how to create, inspire, and present on topics that matter to them!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My students are passionate about learning! They love to come to school and they love to learn new things. Some of my students come from single-parent homes, high poverty environments, or homes that speak two or three languages. Some of my students come to me with high behavioral and attention needs.
Since some of my students don't have the best home environment, I try to make our classroom a safe and loving place to learn.
When we enter our classroom we are a family who tries our best to take care of one another by showing each other love, pushing each other to do better, and catching each other when we fall.
Third graders are responsible for learning how to present using effective communication skills. This includes speaking, listening, responding to questions and utilizing appropriate resources during their presentation. When presenting, I want my students to choose topics that matter to them and let their passion show through their work! For this reason, I am requesting a Cricut Explore Air 2.
With this Cricut, students will be able to create projects that show their love, creativity, and passion for topics that matter to them!
For example, I want my students to learn and come up with solutions to issues that affect them on a daily basis, such as bullying. After collaborating with their peers and researching anti-bullying solutions, students will then create presentations to share their solutions. They will use the Cricut to create visuals, including posters and bulletin boards. Students will be able to reach not only the students in our classroom but students and staff across the entire building. Students will learn the power of visuals when presenting to others as well as learn how to present effectively on topics that affect them.
