This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

How are we going to help our world if we don't form future problem-solvers? Who will be the next Thomas Edison or the next Mae Jemison? My school is trying to offer all students an opportunity to experiment and invent, but we need to provide them with some basic supplies such as the display boards!

African American students make up about 70% of our school; the rest includes a rich diversity of cultures such as Latino and Asian.

Since we are a Social Justice Magnet School, we are teaching respect, tolerance, and teamwork. Our students are aware of the issues awaiting them and they are getting ready! Unfortunately, my school is a title I LAUSD with minimum funding and most of our parents can't afford donations.

My Project

Our under privileged students need these display boards so they will be able to participate in the Science Fair and proudly show their scientific research. In the past, we noticed that the bravest of them who dared presenting their work on a small paper folder looked embarrassed. This year, we need to help them; they work hard, we must step up!
