I have twenty six second graders in California. They are cute, curious, silly, and excited about learning. These 7 and 8 year olds want to succeed in school. They are eager learners who love to move around the classroom. They are energetic and often need to get their wiggles out. Flexible seating will help them be successful learners in the 21st century. The class is very diverse. There are gifted students, special needs student, and students from many different cultures.
The Scholastic News magazine and Map Skills For Today workbooks will help my students learn about science, social studies, and geography awareness in a fun way.
When they read their Scholastic News magazine they will be reading about current and engaging nonfiction information.
The magazines get the students so excited to read and second graders love discussing the information they have learned.
Scholastic News allows me to bring a wide range of educational texts into my classroom.
Map Skills For Today workbooks are very important for building map skills and learning about geography. My second graders will also practice critical thinking.
