This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These supplies will help my students reach their potential in writing. My students have the knowledge to become great writers, but sometime struggle with what to write about or how to start. They also enjoy free choice writing and may need the help with ideas. My English language learners may need the help with subjects to write about and vocabulary to use. The writing prompts and journal materials are excellent tools to provide students with visual support and writing topics. The writing prompts also are an excellent way to open a class discussion before writing.
The ability to read and write are powerful tools for students!
Book bags are useful for students to store their own texts, at their level, for students to enjoy during silent reading. In order for students to build their confidence in reading, they must be able to read books at their level. Headphones are a great way to cancel out noise when reading assignments are on their chrome books.
