This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is a Title I school with all students receiving free breakfast and lunch. I have been teaching at this school for 9 years and absolutely love it! My students are so eager to learn.

My sweet, incredible students actually want to come to school on their birthdays, holidays, and over extended breaks.

They love to know each other! They love to have fun! And, most importantly, they love to learn! The determination I see daily from my struggling students to my higher functioning students is incredible. I would love to be able to provide them anything that would make their love for learning continue.

My Project

We will use the Silhouette Cameo 3 machine for many different things. One way would be to cover the walls, bathroom, and windows in inspirational quotes that won't damage the paint. Next, I will label things in our classroom to help us stay organized! Then, I would use it around the room on our whiteboards, anchor charts, and bulletin boards. We often do presentations and group projects in class. The Silhouette will allow students to create their masterpieces in a neat and organized manner! The software that comes with the Silhouette will let the students use their creativity by designing pictures, logos, and other materials for their presentations. Help my students become more hands on with their learning, provide inspiration, and help to encourage collaboration with their classmates using the Silhouette!
