Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are from poor inner city neighborhoods. All receive free lunch and struggle to afford basic school supplies. Most are motivated to achieve so they can pull themselves out of poverty and create a better life for themselves and their families.

My students need to be empowered to lead a healthy, safe, disease free lifestlyle.

Healthy bodies and calm minds lead to peaceful hearts. Once students learn how to instill this discipline into their lives they'll have the key to a happy future.

My Project

I'm putting together goody bags for my seniors. I'm including gum, candy and t-shirts, but would also like to add key chains and books to really make them feel special.

I'd like to give my seniors personalized goody bags this year because of all they've missed out on due to the Coronavirus Pandemic.

Books related to navigating through life after graduation are perfect! Some of my young men are obsessed with basketball and were sad when Kobe Bryant died so I thought the book, Mamba would be perfect for them.
